Unperturbed by the heavy snow, the staff at Dale Maintenance have fun at lunchtime creating their own winter wonderland at the office

In April 2009, Dales existing contract with Peacocks was extended until April 2011. Dale will deliver a building repair service to 4 regions in South Wales and the South West of England including Southampton, Portsmouth, Bristol, Devon / Cornwall.

In addition we have been awarded Secondary Contractor Status to East Anglia and Milton Keynes and therefore we can expect additional work from these areas.

Dale Building Maintenance Ltd are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Phil Owen as Company Accountant / Finance Director Designate. Phil was previously Finance Director of Kier Managed Services ltd (a FTSE 250plc company) and Financial Controller of Hyder, he is a Chartered Accountant and has a degree in Economics and Accounting and brings to the company a wealth of experience in Facilities Maintenance.

Phil is a keen cricketer and former captain of St. Fagans Cricket Club.

The 5 a side soccer team at the Cardiff branch of Dale has made a huge impact on the mid week business Power League in Cardiff. Playing on a Tuesday night the team competes against other Cardiff Companies for the mid week business league title.

The team is made up from employees from the reactive maintenance and insurance divisions as well as the accounts department, and is managed and captained by Maintenance Manager Jonathan Davies, The team have won their league for the last two seasons.

Working together daily and playing on a weekly basis has really developed a team spirit which is reflected on the results achieved. Dale also supports and sponsors the Lamb and Flag FC who play in the Bridgend Sunday Premier League as well as local cricket and school representative teams.

A team of Dale employees from the Cardiff Office recently completed a charity walk in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and raised a total of £567.

Dale Building Maintenance Ltd are delighted to announce the award of The Green Dragon Environmental Standard (level 2). This Green Dragon Award is a Stepped Standard recognising effective environmental management. The standard offers environmental management system relevant to the specific needs of companies and organisations and rewards actions taken to achieve environmental improvements.

This award demonstrates Dales commitment to environmental issues.

During the past three years Claire Davies, the wife of Director Iwan Davies, has completed several “challenges” in  aid of McMillan Cancer support. The latest of these challenges involved Claire and her fundraising colleague Val Weaver in a sailing challenge from Poole to the Channel Islands on a classic 46ft yawl racing boat.

The challenge was quite an adventure which included being caught in a force 9 gale. The picture shows Claire and Val with the now famous “Dale Bag” in tow.
